It was my fiftieth birthday two days ago and I was given 'Blogging for Creatives' by Robin Houghton. I have been following Robin's instructions and this is the result! 

Half a century of existence is something to celebrate and to mourn - wonderful years that have included the creation of two new human beings, and time that has trickled through my fingers,wasted and misspent.  I anticipate that the next fifty years will bring the same combination of laughter and anguish.

After experiencing a variety of roles - student, employee, wife, mother, volunteer - I am hoping to add to the list that of writer.  I completed my first novel 'Highway Code' last year and am currently working on my second novel 'Waters of Grace'.  The first can be found on the authonomy website, and an extract from the second can be found on youwriteon.  Any constructive comments would be gratefully received.  I will be using this blog as a journal to record my experiences as I attempt to enter the world of publishing.
